How a dirty Sensor can ruin the sharpness - Blog

These before and after shots show the difference a clean Sensor makes

Sometimes customers drop off a lens complaining that it is no longer sharp;  the photos look fuzzy and are not crisp.

If the lens used to be sharp, this should not be the case, unless it has fungus or impact damage.

There could be another reason for the loss of sharpness, contrast and saturation.

It could be that the Sensor may have a build-up of "Haze" (similar to the build-up of a hazy layer on the inside of a Car windscreen).

Simple remedy is to get it professional cleaned (washed) to remove the build up of "Haze"  on the Sensor (Low Pass Filter).

This haze will NOT clean off by just swiping the Sensor; it needs to be washed off.
